The Group
The Computational Biology group is part of the Institute of Integrative Biology (IBZ) in the Department of Environmental Systems Science (D-USYS). We are also affiliated with the external pageSwiss Institute of Bioinformaticscall_made. We are funded by an external pageSNFcall_made Professorship.
Our goal is to understand the design constraints, robustness, and evolution of gene regulation, particularly at the level of transcription, via modeling, data-driven approaches, and collaborations with experimental biologists. Our research is inherently multidisciplinary, and so is our group, with backgrounds in computer science, physics, and developmental biology.
